Hello! I’m Fang Fang, an experience designer with over 10 years of experience working across digital products and public-facing environments. I enjoy understanding people in context and turning complex systems into experiences that feel clear, accessible, and meaningful.
I started my career in journalism, working with organizations like Southern Metropolis Daily and Hunan Broadcasting System. During that time, I interviewed people from very different backgrounds, which helped me build a strong sense of empathy and a habit of really listening to how people think and what they need.
Overall, I bring a research-driven and human-centered approach to both product and service work, and I care a lot about improving how people experience systems in different real-world environments.
A bit more about me:
Outside of work, I spend most of my time outdoors — skiing, trail running, hiking, and cycling. I’m especially into ultra-distance trail running and have completed multiple 50K races.
I also have a dog, Woolly, who’s usually part of my adventures.
My work later expanded into UX research, product design, and information science (I hold an ALA-accredited Master of Information). I’ve worked on projects in education and AI-driven systems, partnering with learners, educators, and cross-functional teams to improve how people access and use information.
Beyond digital products, I’m very interested in service and community-facing experiences. I’ve worked in art galleries, supported cultural events, and currently work as a ski patroller, where I provide frontline support and respond to real-time situations. These experiences made me more aware of how people actually feel and behave in real environments, especially when things are uncertain or stressful.
